Cincinnati Chili

I’ve been going to Hard Times Cafe for ages, and that was the first place that exposed me to chili with cinnamon in it. It was life-changing. Seriously. Cinnamon with beef?! It kinda blew my mind. Here’s my take on it. Want to make the “original” from HTC? They sell their mixes!I’ve been going to Hard Times Cafe for ages, and that was the first place that exposed me to chili with cinnamon in it. It was life-changing. Seriously. Cinnamon with beef?! Recipe Notes

Want to make this in the slow cooker? Just follow step 1, and then throw everything into the slow cooker for about 6 hours. It's going to be a bit soupy, which is fine, because that's how Cincinnati chili is supposed to be served.

Chocolate Chili

I made the Chocolate Chili from Well Fed a couple of times, and while it was tasty, it wasn’t exactly my cup o’ tea (or chili). This is my take on chocolate chili.I made the Chocolate Chili from Well Fed a couple of times, and while it was tasty, it wasn’t exactly my cup o’ tea (or chili). This is my take on chocolate chili.

Recipe Notes

Want to make this in the slow cooker? No problem! Just follow step 1, then throw everything into the slow cooker, and cook on low for about 6 hours. The result will be a bit juicier, so I usually leave the lid off for a bit, to let some of the liquid cook out of the chili.

Smoky BBQ Sauce

I love barbecue/BBQ/Bar-b-que, or whatever you call it. This is a sauce I use on pork, chicken, or beef cooked until it falls apart in the slow cooker. It’s smoky, and a tiny bit sweet, but not sugary.I love barbecue/BBQ/Bar-b-que, or whatever you call it.
