Once a Month Mom has some great resources for planning once a month cooking, including Paleo menus. It looks like the May 2013 menu is even Whole30 compliant! The menu looks pretty good, and I think I’m going to use it as a basis for my cook-up next weekend, so I signed up for a membership.
While reading through Once a Month Mom’s series on creating your own menu (read it!!), and then looking through the May 2013 paleo menu, I realized that my previous estimate of 180 servings of food for three people might be a little high. The Once a Month Mom menu has 6-10 breakfasts, 8 lunches, and 14 dinners, assuming you’ll eat out, or cook something fresh the rest of the time. Knowing that I usually eat leftovers for most of the week, for both lunch and dinner, I’ll either have to cook extra servings on the menu, or just cook a few additional recipes. It’s unfortunate that Once a Month Mom’s menus aren’t customizable. Maybe after I’ve done this once a month cooking thing a few times I can figure out a way around that in WordPress 😉
